Product classification
Hastelloy C
Hastelloy C is a high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloy. The alloy contains a large amount of elements such as Cr and Mo, and has a single-phase austenitic structure. It is a corrosion-resistant alloy with many excellent properties, showing good resistance to oxidative and moderately reducing corrosion. It has outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking and good resistance to localized corrosion, exhibiting satisfactory corrosion resistance in many chemical process media, including highly corrosive inorganic acid solutions, chlorine gas and various media containing chlorides, dry chlorine gas, formic acid and acetic acid, seawater, and saltwater.

Density: 8.94 g/cm3
Melting Point: 1350 ℃
Specific Heat Capacity: 0.385 103J/kg·K
Thermal Conductivity: 29.3 W/(m·K) (25℃)
Elastic Modulus: 210 103MPa (28℃)
Characteristics
1. Control the content of iron and chromium at low levels to prevent the formation of β phase Ni4Mo. 2. Excellent corrosion resistance in reducing environments. 3. Extremely good resistance to corrosion from moderately concentrated sulfuric acid and many non-oxidizing acids. 4. Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) from chloride ions. 5. Excellent resistance to corrosion from various organic acids.
Metallographic Structure
Hastelloy C has a face-centered cubic lattice structure. By controlling the iron and chromium content at low values, it reduces processing brittleness and prevents the precipitation of Ni4Mo phase between 700-870℃.
